Too Many Irons in The Fire

January 15, 2019

Hey everyone! I know many are still trying to get themselves together in the new year. But I want to share with you a story about why you need to stop holding on to the old so your hands can embrace something new. Tonight, I struck out to the store for 2 items. So I didn’t grab a basket. As I made my way to the items , I kept picking up things that I felt I wanted. By the time I got to the front , I had not a place in my arms or hands to hold anything.

So you know me , this was a lesson. How many of you have picked up this habit, that goal, somebody else’s dream... before you could make your way to what you needed?  I was today years old when I realized that I hold on to too many things. The title of this blog is from my favorite song by Teena Marie. Some of us have too many irons in the fire. Our hands are full of stuff. I am sharing so that you can purge !! Stop picking up old habits. If you are fasting , go beyond that and cut the vice off that keeps you from grabbing on to your destiny. Some are gonna be over in glory before they realize they wasted too much time on the planet. Here  are 3 tips for the week.

1. Make a list and stick to it. Had I made a list , I would have only had one hand full instead of both hands and arms.

2. Stick to the script. Stop getting off key and hold yourself accountable.

3. Let go!  It’s a cute saying and it make great memes, but in order to go to a new level and grab something more valuable, you must be willing to let go of what you think you cannot do without now.

We are all gonna get it together this year. I’m determined to lead by example. Why read a blog from someone that cannot do what they post? If that makes sense to you, then make sure that you are being the change you wish to see. Cheering for you this week.

Sing the song but don’t live the life.  We are most effective when we operate in our superpower.

Peace,

Paula
